Former Australian pacer sings praises of Jasprit Bumrah
India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah was given the man of the series performance for his 32 wickets. The Indian star won praise from Damien Fleming who highlighted the performance by Bumrah during the course of the summer. Damien Fleming wrote down his thoughts on ‘Roar’ after the completion of the BGT 2024/25 series.
Fleming wrote “Bumrah deserved to be player of the series with 32 wickets, but there’s an argument to say that Travis Head won this trophy. Bumrah is an absolute star, probably the greatest touring fast bowler that I’ve seen. Mohammed Siraj probably showed that he’s a handy back-up bowler. But they need that third seamer. They really missed Mohammed Shami.”
The former Aussie pacer also was taken aback by Bumrah losing his cool at Konstas. Damien Fleming wrote “I’ve never seen Bumrah react like that. So he sparked something in the Indians that not a lot of people have. And when he batted, he didn’t look like he was fazed from all the chat from the Indians."
Damien Fleming also praised Prasidh Krishna who played the final Test of the series and did well with the ball. “Prasidh Krishna was good with his six wickets in Sydney and he might get better with more Test matches,” wrote the former Aussie quick.
