Birmingham Phoenix came out on top in a close game against Trent Rockets and won by 6 runs. The star with the ball was Dan Mousley who had the improbable task of defending 10 runs from 10 balls.

Bowling from round the wicket Mousley got two dot balls to make it ten needed from 8 balls. The third ball saw the off-spinner beat Gregory for pace and get his wicket for a four-ball duck. With 10 runs needed from 7 balls, Imad Wasim and Rashid Khan could only take two singles off two balls making it 8 needed of 5 balls.

Dan Mousley made it and only 7 runs were needed from 3 balls with Imad Wasim playing a dot ball and taking a sing. It was soon 7 needed from 2 as Rashid Khan was out bowled and Mousley followed it up with the wicket of Thomson. With a dot ball, Dan Mousley achieved a huge win and pulled off the biggest heist of The Hundred 2024 season as Birmingham won by 6 runs.
