The crowd in Chepauk roared with a high noise when the former CSK skipper and legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni walked into the ground to bat for his team in the game against Delhi Capitals. Notably, it was also the first-ever instance when Dhoni’s parents were there to watch him play at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The video of this amazing moment when Dhoni entered the ground for batting also started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by the official broadcasters from their official X handle (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the action of the game between DC and CSK, the visiting skipper Axar Patel won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the Capitals posted a total of 183 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The veteran opener and wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul scored a match-winning knock of 77 runs off 51 balls, with six fours and three sixes. Abishek Porel also smashed 33 runs off just 20 balls, with 4 fours and a six.
Khaleel Ahmed scalped 2 wickets for CSK in the first innings, alongside a wicket each picked by Ravindra Jadeja, Noor Ahmad, and Matheesha Pathirana.
While chasing the target, CSK failed to cross the line and scored only 158 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the entire 20 overs, losing the game by 25 runs. Vijay Shankar and MS Dhoni went unbeaten at individual scores of 69 and 30 runs, respectively.
