Throwing a helmet after getting dismissed is something that we have seen in some of the cricket games, however, in the Max60 Caribbean 2024, Carlos Brathwaite was absolutely frustrated with his dismissal and did something crazy. After his dismissal, while returning to the pavilion, Brathwaite hit his helmet out of the ground with his bat.

During the Qualifier 1 match between New York Strikers and Grand Cayman Jaguars, Brathwaite was playing for the Strikers when he hit his helmet into the air. The video went viral on social media because the fans didn't like this behaviour and felt he went a little too far with the aggression.

Joshua Little was bowling to the batter as the ball was short and it went past the bat. While the ball didn't hit the bat, the on-field raised his finger which didn't sit well with Brathwaite, hence, the reaction came. While expressing anger was absolutely fine, hitting the helmet wasn't a good sign.

West Indies beat South Africa in 2nd T20I

After winning the 1st T20I, West Indies dominated the 2nd T20I as well and defeated the South African attack by 30 runs. It was an unexpected performance from the visitors as they lost the Test series before a few days. However, this turn of events is a great thing for the Caribbean team. Now, they lead the 3-match T20I series by 2-1. For his brilliant all-round performance, Romario Shephard was given the Player of the Match award.

The West Indies team is rising now and the skipper was quite happy with their performance. "When you give guys opportunity and back them, they can do well. Brandon King is our No.1 opener, but Alick has grabbed his opportunity. It's always nice to beat such a team, they are a quality team," said skipper Rovman Powell at the post-match presentation.
