After a long wait, the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2024 is just a day away. The most-awaited series of the year will start on November 22 in Perth. Ahead of the series, the captains, Pat Cummins and Jasprit Bumrah, were seen posing alongside the beautiful trophy. Cummins was on the right side, while Bumrah was on the left. According to a trending superstition, the captain on the trophy's left side wins the game.

The Indian fans are super excited to see their captain on the left, hoping to have a miracle and win the series. India's chances of qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 finals depend on this series, and if they lose even one game, the finals will be in jeopardy. This makes the series important and thrilling at the same time.

On the other hand, Australian players have had a great time out there during net practices. Bowler Mitchell Starc was seen dismantling the stumps of Usman Khawaja, while Travis Head was seen striking the ball really well. The videos have turned out to be a nightmare for Indian fans, who are afraid that India will lose the game. Nevertheless, everything depends on how players manage and act upon the pressure.

I don't want to jinx it by saying anything else: Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is enjoying his time as a captain, attending pressers and taking a stand for his players. During a press conference ahead of the first Test match, Bumrah spoke about Virat Kohli and his current form. Kohli might not have a great series against Bangladesh and New Zealand, but he is always terrific against Australia. The former India captain scored six hundred in 13 Tests at an average of 54.

"But, the confidence he has at this moment, I have no doubts about how he has prepared. He is looking to contribute. The signs are ominous, I don't want to jinx it by saying anything else, but he is looking in very good shape," Jasprit Bumrah said.
