The 1st Test match between England and Sri Lanka saw a light-hearted moment when Ben Stokes's look-a-like was shown on the big screen. He wore sunglasses and looked almost like England's skipper, who noticed and waved at him. This was a sweet gesture by Stokes, who loves entertaining his fans even sitting in the dugout. The camera turned to the fan in the middle of the match, and as soon as he saw Stokes waving at him, he removed his jacket to show the skipper his jersey.

The fan was wearing a jersey with Stokes' name on it and his jersey number. It was indeed a heartwarming incident that went viral on social media. Fans loved the gestures of both, who respected each other and showed their love in a unique manner.

By the end of day 3, Sri Lanka leads by 82 runs thanks to Angelo Mathews' 65 runs off 145 balls and Kamindu Mendis' 56 runs off 109 balls. Both batters built an outstanding partnership, which helped the team take the lead. While Mendis is still playing, the batters from the other end have to assist him to reach a defendable total.

Century on debut game for Jamie Smith

The 24-year-old Jamie Smith has announced his arrival in red-ball cricket for England with a brilliant century in the first innings. He scored 111 runs off 148 balls, including eight boundaries and one six. The way he batted throughout the innings was eye-pleasing for the fans, as his shots were elegant and controlled.

Seeing the newcomers bat against experienced bowlers makes every fan realize that the game of cricket is in safe hands. Moreover, other English batters were marvellous throughout the first innings, with Harry Brook scoring 56 runs off 73 balls and Joe Root scoring 42 runs off 57 balls. Now, the game is in England's court, but if Sri Lankan batters bat well, they might as well win the game.
