Babar Azam's struggle with the bat continues as he departed on five runs in the ongoing Test match against the mighty England. Pakistan batters have struggled to score runs in the second innings and are heading towards a defeat in the first Test match. However, all criticism has fallen on Babar Azam as he failed to score in yet another game.

This is the 18th consecutive Test innings without reaching a half-century. The player is going through a lean patch, which has been going on for a long time now. In the ongoing Test match, he scored 30 runs in the first innings, while the other batters scored half-centuries and centuries from both teams. Now, in the second innings, he was dismissed for just five runs.

With so many failed knocks, Babar's place in the Test team seems in jeopardy. It's high time for him to rise and start scoring runs to secure his place. He has already resigned from captaincy, and now, if he fails to score runs in the upcoming Test matches, he will have to let go of his place in the Test team as well.

Joe Root and Harry Brook form a partnership of 400+ runs in 1st Test match

Pakistan's bowling attack bowled for 150 overs as England's star batter Joe Root and Harry Brook formed a partnership of 400-odd runs in the first innings of the 1st Test match. Their strength and fitness to bat for two days straight is commendable. While Root scored 262 runs off 375 balls, Brook scored 317 runs in 322 balls.

The batters wreaked havoc on the Pakistan bowling attack and left no space for them to claim wickets. England declared the innings after scoring a mammoth 823 runs at the loss of seven wickets. Now, Pakistan is on the verge of losing the Test match, which they had thought of winning after their first innings performance.
