The blistering batter Azam Khan displayed some swashbuckling batting skills against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR). He played a short but fiery knock of 21 runs off just 9 balls, with a six and two fours in the first innings for Desert Vipers (DV). His knock ended in an unfortunate run-out on the last ball of the innings.
The massive hits of Azam Khan are also making rounds on social media as soon as a video was shared from the official X handle of the International League T20 (ILT20).

Speaking of the entire action of the match, Desert Vipers’ skipper Sam Curran won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the Vipers posted a total of 193 runs for losing 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. The veteran opener Alex Hales smashed 58 runs off just 36 balls, with three fours and four sixes. His knock was followed by Dan Lawrence’s 49 runs off 32 balls, with a four and three sixes.
Later in the middle order, skipper Sam Curran also scored 35 runs followed by Azam Khan’s blistering 21 runs off just 9 balls, with a four and two sixes. Jason Holder scalped 2 wickets at just 24 runs in his 4 overs for ADKR in the first innings, alongside a wicket each picked by David Willey and Kyle Mayers.
While chasing the target, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders failed to survive against the Vipers’ bowling attack. ADKR was bundled out at the score of just 140 runs in 17.4 overs and the Vipers won the game by a big margin of 53 runs.
Nathan Sowter scalped 3 wickets, alongside two wickets bagged by Wanindu Hasaranga. Besides these two, Mohammad Amir, Dhruv Parashar, and Dan Lawrence also claimed a wicket each. Luke Wood won the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his brilliant three catches.
