Pakistan's emerging cricketer Azam Khan has been in the news for all the wrong reasons ever since he made his international debut in 2021. Fans have always questioned his fitness and have never shied away from trolling him when he does not perform well.

Amidst this, he registered yet another poor outing during the game between Saint Lucia Kings and Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League 2024. The Pakistani cricketer had a horrendous day with the gloves behind the stumps and with the bat as well.

While keeping the wickets in the first innings, Azam missed a routine run-out as he dislodged the stumps before cleanly collecting the ball, giving Matthew Forde a second life. Imran Tahir bowled a full-length delivery and the batter played it to square leg for a quick single. A mix-up between the two batters gave the Amazon Warriors a clear run-out chance. However, Azam Khan's poor display was no help for the team.

On another poor display in the same match, the 26-year-old was dismissed for a duck, while chasing the target. Walking in to bat at number four, he tried to play an uppercut against Alzzari Joseph but ended up giving a simple catch to Johnson Charles stationed at the third man.

Meanwhile, the Amazon Warriors had a clinical win over the Saint Lucia Kings despite Azam Khan's poor outing. They managed to restrict SLK to a meagre total of 100 runs, with only Matthew Forde showing some glimpses of restrain, scoring 31 runs in 21  balls. For GAW, Gudakesh Motie and Imran Tahir grabbed three wickets each, while Kemo Paul and Dwaine Pretorious took two and one, respectively.

In the second innings, openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (47 runs off 19 balls) and Tim Robinson (33 runs off 22 balls) set up the chase perfectly. The team lost four wickets but managed to get to the total in just 10 overs.
