The Indian team made a terrific comeback in the 2nd match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 against Pakistan. In the epic clash, the Indian bowlers were quite pumped up to deliver well and in the process, they did show some much-needed aggression on the pitch. After dismissing the well-settled batter Nida Dar, bowler Arundhati Reddy sent her off with an aggressive gesture.

The fans loved the bowler's reaction since Dar was batting on 28 runs off 34 balls and was looking to hit in the last over. Dar was Reddy's third wicket of the day as the bowler was brilliant throughout the 1st innings. She claimed the wickets of Omaima Sohail and Aliya Riaz during the game. Apart from her, Shreyanka Patil and all the other bowlers did a good job in dismissing the Pakistan team to just 105 runs.

In the 2nd innings, India have already lost Smriti Mandhana while chasing the low score. Now, everything depends on the rest of the team as to how they take the match from here on. As we write, India need 46 runs off 51 balls with Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues batting on the crease. Verma has scored 32 runs off 34 balls and Rodrigues has scored 16 runs off 20 balls. Both the batters are looking set and have the potential to take the match past the victory line.

Getting the first World Cup wicket is pretty special: Shreyanka Patil

India's right arm off-break bowler Shreyanka Patil made her debut in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 and claimed her first wicket against Pakistan. This game will be extra special for her because it was against the arch-rivals. She took two wickets and conceded just 12 runs in four overs. After the 1st innings, Shreyanka had a chat with the commentators where she expressed her emotions after taking the first wicket.

"Getting the first World Cup wicket is pretty special, and getting it against Pakistan is even more special. Thanks to the crowd here for consistently cheering for us. Amazing to be a part of this World Cup. Back at home I was cheering for India in front of the TV and to actually be a part of this team feels great," said Shreyanka Patil.
