Playing his first match of the IPL 2024 season, Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar managed to grab attention with his limited on-field presence. MI are locking horns against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for their final match of the season at their home ground, the Wankhede Stadium, and have decided to field some new faces.

Arjun was given the new ball to bowl the second over and the left-arm pacer got off to a brilliant start conceding just three runs and almost claiming the wicket of the dangerous Marcus Stoinis. The third ball of the over was ruled LBW by the on-field umpire but the LSG all-rounder quickly sent the decision upstairs.

Arjun’s was short-lived as the decision had to be overturned after ball tracking confirmed the ball was going over the stumps. The frustration of the son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar was clearly evident in the last ball of the over when he threatened to run out Stoinis with an aggressive face.

The Australian didn't like the young man's gesture and responded with a cheeky smile. As the video of this went viral on social media, fans came out with mixed reactions.

Here’s the video of Arjun Tendulkar’s aggressive gesture towards Marcus Stoinis:

Arjun Tendulkar, who replaced elite pacer Jasprit Bumrah in the XI, bowled one more over in the powerplay and conceded just seven runs. He returned to bowl in the 15th over but this time he was greeted with two consecutive sixes by Nicholas Pooran. Arjun could not complete the over as he was taken off the field probably due to cramps and finished with figures of 1/22 in 2.2 overs.

Meanwhile, LSG, after being invited to bat first, posted a competitive total of 214 for the loss of six wickets. They had a struggling start to the innings, but Pooran’s scintillating 29-ball 75, including eight sixes and five fours, gave the visitors a fiery finish.
