The veteran KKR all-rounder Andre Russell continued his brilliant batting form. The Caribbean stalwart smashed a brilliant knock against DC in the 57th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). He smashes all the bowlers across the corners of the ground. Notably, he also played match-winning half-century against RR in the last game.

Meanwhile, what attracted the eyeballs was the spectacular six smashed by Andre Russell off Ravindra Jadeja in the 15th over. It also drew an amazing and shocking reaction from the KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane, who was sitting in the dugout. The moment came on the fourth ball of the over when Jadeja bowled an angled delivery on a length between middle and leg stump. Russell judged it perfectly and launched it for a massive six over long-on region.

KKR dominate with early strike in second innings

Speaking of the current action of the game, the visitors, CSK have lost their first wicket early at the score of 8 runs in 0.5 at the time of filing this. They have started their run-chase of the 180-runs target given by the defending champions. The KKR pacer Vaibhav Arora has scalped the wicket of in-form CSK opener Ayush Mhatre to open his wicket-account in the game. 

Earlier in the first innings, KKR posted a total of 179 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane played the brilliant knock of 48 runs off just 33 balls, with four fours and two sixes. Besides him, Andre Russell and Manish Pandey also played the knocks of 38 and 36 runs off just 21 and 28 balls. Sunil Narine also scored 26 runs off 17 balls, with four fours and a six. 

Star CSK spinner Noor Ahmad bowled a sensational spell, scalping 4 wickets at 31 runs in his four overs, alongside a wicket each picked by Anshul Kamboj and Ravindra Jadeja. 

Notably, it is a must-win and all-important game for the holders, KKR to move up a sport or two in the tournament standings and keep their hopes alive for the playoffs.
