The Indian team is gearing up for the next assignment, the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. The World Champions will be looking to continue their dominance under their new shortest-format leader, Suryakumar Yadav.
The Indian players hit the nets on the eve of the first match at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. A video doing rounds on the internet shows the Indian skipper commentating on batters's shots in the nets.
Surya also directed hilarious comments at Washington Sundar by calling him "Ae Gabb," referring to his performances at the Gabba during India's tour of Australia in 2020-21.
Sundar had picked up four wickets and scored 84 runs in the match, including a half-century in the first innings. He played a crucial role in India's historic win to breach Australia's fortress.
In the video, Jitesh Sharma played a beautiful cover drive to which Surya said, "Nazakat se" (With Elegance). He also said Rinku Singh has "Brutal power" and that "everything else is god's plan".
