Former England captain Kevin Pietersen's son, Dylan, received a signed India jersey from probably the country's biggest star, Virat Kohli. "Got home and gave @dylanpietersenphotography a gift from @virat.kohli and it goes straight on! Fits like a glove. Thanks, buddy!" Pietersen's post read.

Kevin Pietersen was in India as part of the commentary panel for England's ODI series against the hosts, which Rohit Sharma's team won handily, 3-0. After the match, Pietersen and Kohli were spotted laughing and having a lively talk during the February 6 series opener in Nagpur. But because of a knee ailment, Kohli could not play in the first ODI. Due to his absence, Shreyas Iyer established himself as a mainstay in the starting lineup. After a difficult debut for Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kohli eventually made a comeback for the second ODI in Cuttack.

In the second ODI, Kohli was dismissed for just five runs at Cuttack, making his return to the series less than ideal. In the third and final ODI in Ahmedabad, he did, however, find his groove and scored a cool half-century before losing his wicket to England spinner Adil Rashid. For India, his comeback to form was encouraging ahead of the much-awaited ICC Champions Trophy.

Kevin Pieterson felt team had done enough preparation

In the meantime, Pietersen garnered media attention for both his analysis and his harsh critique of England's series preparation. He questioned the English players' dedication, accusing them of putting golf above practice. His remarks caused a stir; England's captain Jos Buttler and head coach Brendon McCullum denied the allegations, stating that the team had done enough preparation.

India's series victory will provide them with a lot of momentum going into the Champions Trophy, which starts on February 19. England, on the other hand, will need to improve to have a successful campaign.
