Former India batter Suresh Raina was a recent guest on Star Sports where the main point of focus was Champions Trophy. During the course of the show, Raina also spoke about Virat Kohli and his energy on the field. The former India skipper is under pressure due to his low scores in the past few matches.
Raina was asked to comment on Virat Kohli and his mindset while playing against Pakistan. The former India batter replied “Uska mindset bahut alag hai, he is as I said good teammate to have in the dressing room. Uska switch on rehta hai, jab woh practice karega, el alag preparation hoga, jab fielding karega tab alag preparation hoga”

“Jab bhi chips are down na, he (Virat Kohli) will be the first person to come and bolega ‘Nahi yaar, Chalo bidte hai, ladte hai, fielding karte hai’. I really enjoyed fielding with him because uska josh hi alag hai aur jab fielding, diving sab josh main chalta hai toh attitude change hota hai. Who Virat usko maharat haasil hai”
Suresh Raina praises Rohit Sharma’s batting in ODI format
Just like Virat Kohli, there is huge pressure on Rohit Sharma who has been enduring woeful form with the bat. The 37-year-old scored a total of 31 runs in the recent Ranji match against Jammu and Kashmir for Mumbai. It is expected that India's skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will not be playing the next match against Meghalaya.
Former India star Suresh Raina spoke highly about Rohit’s batting during his chat on Star Sports. The 38-year-old said “Jab aap Rohit Sharma ka naam lete ho, tab lagta hai woh 20-25 over khel jaayenge, kyunki unke paas ek flawless technique hai. Itna time hai batting karne ke liye. Jab woh apne zone mein aate hain, toh mujhe nahin lagta hai unse best batsman koi world mein hoga."
Virat Kohli is set to play the next Ranji match for Delhi starting on 30th January. The 36-year-old was seen taking inputs from Sanjay Bangar to work on his technique. DDCA are set to see a massive turnout for the game and the fans will be able to attend the game for free.
One DDCA official while speaking to the media said “There has never been any entry fee charged for watching Ranji matches and the same custom would follow. The only thing is that two stands will be opened for the fans as we understand the level of excitement associated with Virat's participation”
