Suryakumar Yadav and Gautam Gambhir were beaming in New Delhi after winning the 2nd T20I against Bangladesh. The 86-run win meant that India had won yet another bilateral series at home. It was a clinical performance from the current T20 World Cup winners as they outplayed their opposition with the bat and ball.

Focus now shifts to the final game of the series to be played in Hyderabad on Saturday. Suryakumar will look to exercise yet another whitewash under his watch. India had beaten Sri Lanka in their backyard with a 3-0 margin in their last T20I series.

The next game on Saturday will also give some of the younger stars a chance to prove their mettle. There is also the chance to stake a claim on their place in the team for the 4-game T20I series in South Africa to be played in November.

Here are the 3 changes India could consider making ahead of the final T20I in Hyderabad

Harshit Rana to replace Mayank Yadav?

Mayank Yadav has made a tremendous debut and impressed everyone with his bowling during the recent series against Bangladesh. The 22-year-old has bowled with pace and a good amount of intelligence during the first two games. With the team management keen to preserve the youngster from overexposure, it could be time for some rest.

Harshit Rana has been waiting in the wings for a while now and Hyderabad could be the venue where the pacer finally gets his cap. Harshit Rana is quick off the wicket and also can bowl well during the backend of the innings. His bounce can also trouble Bangladeshi batters making him an ideal candidate.

Ravi Bishnoi in for Varun Chakravarthy?

Veteran mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has made an amazing comeback to T20I cricket. The 33-year-old had to wait three years to get his recall and has picked 5 wickets from two matches to help India win the series. Ravi Bishnoi, who has picked 48 wickets from 32 games for India in the T20I format, could be drafted into the team.

The 24-year-old had played all five games in Zimbabwe and also played 3 matches in Sri Lanka and picked 12 wickets. Varun Chakravarthy has done enough to warrant a place in the national team for the South African tour. The final game on Saturday will be a great chance to give Bishnoi some game time and let him have a crack at the Bangladeshi side.

Tilak Varma to replace Hardik Pandya?

1723

Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya turns 31 years old on Friday. With the massive amount of matches lined up, this could be the ideal time to rest Hardik Pandya. In his place, Tilak Varma could walk into the team. The 21-year-old has played for India against Afghanistan at the start of the year in Mohali and scored 26 runs.

So far Tilak has played 16 T20I matches for India and scored 336 runs. The left-handed batter has also hit 2 half-centuries with an average of 33 and a strike rate of 139. Playing in front of his home crowd could just be the motivation Tilak Varma needs to solidify his place in India’s T20I team.
