In the same line of events, an astrologer named Greenstone Lobo came up with an interesting post on X (formerly Twitter). The astrologer shared his 2016 prediction in which he forecasted Ashwin’s greatness and his retirement from international cricket in 2024.

The astrologer also shared the snippets of a book from 8 years back in 2016, in which he had predicted the Chennai-born all-rounder’s future in international cricket.

“Wrote about R Ashwin in 2011 that he will become a legend. Most predictions have come true…including the highest wickets after Kumble, test match centuries and retirement in 2024. Watch out for the prediction of his post-retirement actions. This is not the last you heard of Ash!” reads the X-post shared by the Astrologer.

Besides that, the snippets he shared from his prediction 8 years back on October 17, 2016, reads, “In the final analysis, while he will surpass Harbhajan’s tally of 417 Test wickets, Ashwin may fall short Kumble’s 619.” Interestingly, Ravichandran Ashwin ended his illustrious career with 537 wickets, more than Harbhajan but less than Kumble.

“Ashwin will probably become the best spin all-rounder of all time. Expect him to score a few more Test centuries,” the prediction from the astrologer in a news daily reads further. The same prediction was also made by the astrologer in his book of predictions.

Here’s a look at the X-post shared by Astrologer about Ravichandran Ashwin:

Just after announcing his retirement in Brisbane, Ashwin headed back home to Chennai, where he addressed the journalists and answered a few queries regarding his future as a cricketer away from international cricket.

“I'm going to play for CSK, and don't be surprised if I aspire to play as long as I can,” he said.
