The Pakistan-born pacer Zahoor Khan was a part of the Mumbai Indians camp as a net bowler in 2014. He had the opportunity to engage with star Cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and many other players. While reminiscing about the time, he opened up about some of his best conversations with them. Zahoor spoke about the hospitality shown by Rohit during the entire time he was with the team, which won his heart. He had a great time with the team and the players were quite welcoming.

Zahoor is currently representing UAE on the international platform. Interestingly, he had another opportunity to join the Mumbai Indians camp during the 2020 IPL season, when the tournament was shifted to UAE because of Covid 19. He mentioned that Rohit couldn't pick up his deliveries, and later on, Bumrah asked him about how to bowl slower balls.

"I was with Mumbai Indians for three months. I've spent reasonable amount of time with Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah in fact liked me so much and asked me the grip. How do you bowl this delivery? This is a huge deal for me as he is the world's No. 1 bowler. I told him but also asked him how he bowls Yorkers with the new ball. Because only 2 people in the world can do it - Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah," said Zahoor Khan while talking to Sportstak.

The team got together ahead of the series for a practice session with all the coaches. After the session, BCCI had a chat with Morkel, and a video was released where the bowling coach talked about building relationships with the players and getting to know them.

"To be in a camp and form relationships with them is very important. Today was just about that - to get an understanding about the guys, find out their strengths and weaknesses, and setting goals for the upcoming series,” said Morne Morkel to the BCCI’s official channel.
