Team India's star cricketer Virat Kohli stated that he is extremely upset with TV broadcasters for openly discussing his favorite chole bhature place in Delhi. The 2024 T20 World Cup-winning star feels that the TV broadcaster's job is to talk about the game and how it can help the students over talking about what he ate during the matches or last night.
The stylish right-handed batter has always been focused on his diet since his U-19 days. Known as one of the most promising talents early on, the 36-year-old went on to become a batting legend and one of the greatest batters of the current era.
However, the TV broadcasters always featured Kohli's favorite food to eat whenever the star batter reached his city, Delhi, to play domestic or international matches. Recently, the star batter's order of Chilli Paneer during his comeback match in the Ranji Trophy 2025 was widely shared on social media. Back in 2023, Kohli's lunch order was the focus during the India vs. Australia World Test Championship Final.
Speaking about the same subject, Virat Kohli stated that the broadcasters should not discuss what he is eating during the game. The 36-year-old batter feels that people should talk about how youngsters can take the game to the epitome of the level.
"We are working towards India becoming a sports-forward nation. We have the vision. We have the groundwork happening today. It should be a collective responsibility of everyone involved," Kohli said at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit.
"A broadcast show needs to talk about the game and not what I ate yesterday for lunch or my favourite chole-bhature place in Delhi. You can't have that in cricket matches. Rather, you could talk about what an athlete is going through," he added.
