The Rohit Sharma-led India team is ready to face Afghanistan in the 2nd stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Afghanistan has a strong bowling attack, which can trouble any team, but their next assignment will be tough for them. Even though some of the Indian batters aren't in their best form, they know how to change the game well. Speaking of Indian batters, Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott was asked about Virat Kohli and his current form in the World Cup during a press conference.

Surprisingly, Trott talked about Kohli and his performance in the recent games but didn't take his name throughout the entire conversation, which seemed pretty weird. He gracefully and smartly carried the conversation and mentioned a glimpse of their plans against the batter ahead of the clash by calling him 'the player.'

"We always look at the last couple of innings and see how they go and if there's any trends and those sorts of things when planning for opposition. So yeah, but obviously there's a history of the player as well that you take into account and past experiences of playing against him. But yes, obviously you do notice things if it hasn't been in any form and you look to find ways where you can sort of use that information or exploit that and hopefully continue that sort of form," said Trott during the press conference.

Weather report before Ind vs Afg match

The upcoming games in the Super 8 are crucial for all teams as they can't afford any washouts or losses. The teams will get three matches to play and book the top two seats to qualify for the semi-finals. Hence, the weather conditions in each stadium become critical.

The match between India and Afghanistan is scheduled to take place in Barbados, where there’s a 50% chance of rainfall, with temperatures expected to stay around 31°C throughout the day and humidity as high as 74%. This sounds concerning for both teams as if the match will get called off due to rain, each team will have to share their points, which will do no good to anyone.
