India and Afghanistan are set to lock horns in the Super 8 phase of the T20 World Cup 2024. India did not lose a single match in the group stage, while Afghanistan suffered a massive 108-run defeat against the West Indies in their last game. However, considering the remarkable performance of the Afghan team in the first three matches, it will not be an easy task for the Asian giants.

One of the key highlights of the tournament so far has been Afghanistan's demolition of New Zealand. But a loss to co-hosts Windies saw Afghanistan lose the top spot in Group C. On the other hand, the Men in Blue topped the Group A points table with seven points. Notably, they are coming after a gap of eight days as their final group-stage match against Canada was washed out.

Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados will host the 43rd match of the tournament from 8:00 PM (IST). As both teams look to kick-start the second round on a positive note, the main worry for fans is that rain will play a spoilsport in Barbados.

Pitch Report:

Kensington Oval in Bridgetown offers an ideal pitch for batting. The average score here is 158 and the team bowling first has a slight advantage considering the last two years of data. The first 200+ score of this tournament was registered at this venue when Australia faced England. Although the batters have the upper hand, the fast bowlers will also have an advantage on this ground.

Weather Report:

As per reports, the conditions in Barbados will most likely be cloudy and humid on the match day. There’s a 50% chance of a downpour with temperatures expected to stay around 31°C throughout the day and humidity as high as 74%. This indicates that the match between India and Afghanistan is likely to be interrupted.
