The teams and cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to be played in the USA and West Indies in June 2024. The prestigious cricket biennial is less than a month away from now. Ahead of the tournament, all eyes are on the inaugural champions, India.

India has announced their squad for the marquee international almost a week ago, however, there’s been a lot of discussion around the youngsters who have made it to the contingent for their first-ever appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, the former India head coach and now commentator Ravi Shastri batted for two youngsters who could be a major key to India’s success in the tournament.

“The two gentlemen you've got to watch out for, and both are left-handers, both playing their first World Cup,” said Shastri in a video on the official social media channels of ICC.

“One is [Yashasvi] Jaiswal. We know a lot about him, he did extremely well against England, explosive at the top of the order, left-hander, he's young, fearless and he'll play shots,” he added.

"He's devastating and he's a match-winner" - Ravi Shastri about Shivam Dube

Furthermore, Shastri also spoke about the star CSK batter, Shivam Dube, who has been picked as an all-rounder in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

“But there's someone in the middle order, please watch out for [him], because he is explosive, he's devastating and he's a match-winner. He hits sixes for fun, and when it comes to spin bowling, he can kill you,” he said.

“He'll park a few balls out of Long Island into the small island, he's that kind of a player. He hits it big and long, and like I said, against spin, he could kill you,” adds Shastri.
