Indian team has been dominating the cricket world for quite a long time now. In the recently concluded Test match, New Zealand outplayed India in every aspect of the game and eventually won the game by eight wickets. It was an unexpected win for the Kiwis, as they had a terrible outing in Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, India had a beautiful series against Bangladesh. Regarding the match, India's former player Ajay Jadeja said that he didn't expect the results to turn out this way. As per the former player, India have been dominating the sport and will do it in the upcoming days because of the quality of players the team has.

"If there is any team to beat in the world, it's India now. There used to be an era when the West Indies and then Australia had their dominance. The Indian team is that team now. If any team in the world wants to get recognition, they can reach there by beating India," said Ajay Jadeja.

After this loss, India will have to win four out of seven games left in the WTC 2025 cycle to qualify for the finals. This sounds a bit challenging since the upcoming series is against Australia.

We didn't bat well in the first innings: Rohit Sharma

If we analyze the real reason behind India's loss, it would be their batting in the first innings. Getting bowled out for just 46 runs was upsetting and unbelievable. Even though the team made a solid comeback in the 2nd innings, New Zealand deserved the win for their bowling in both innings. Skipper Rohit Sharma spoke about the team's batting performance in the first innings and acknowledged the fact that it was a great performance.

"It was a good effort with the bat in the second innings. We didn't bat well in the first innings. So knew what was ahead and couple of guys stood out. When you are 350 behind you can't think too much about it. just got to see the ball and bat. Couple of partnerships were really exciting to watch and got us back in the game," said Rohit Sharma.
