Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sam Konstas verbally engaged in a fight during the fourth Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. Konstas was trying to distract the batter while he was standing at the silly point. He was bugging Jaiswal, who lost his calm and just reacted by saying, 'Do your job.' He also turned back and asked Alex Carey why Konstas was talking so much.
Jaiswal's frustration was completely visible as he played the next ball towards Konstas which hit the fielder. The banter stopped immediately but it showed the Aussies' mentality of pressuring the batters with consistent sledging. The 22-year-old batter was doing well on the crease but still lost the wicket. He was batting on 84 runs in 208 balls but skipper Pat Cummins was successful enough to dismiss him.
#YashasviJaiswal didn’t just let his bat do the talking!

A cheeky ‘Do your job!’ to #SamKonstas was all it took to light up the game with some good old-fashioned on-field banter. 🔥👏#AUSvINDOnStar 👉 4th Test, Day 5 LIVE NOW! | #ToughestRivalry pic.twitter.com/cF7tWqLtdM
Except for Jaiswal and Pant, no other batter touched the double digits, which is the most concerning part of the current Indian batters. After the first game, the team didn't give their best, and it seems like their over-confidence has led to their downfall in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024.

Skipper Rohit Sharma opened up on India's defeat in the fourth Test match against Australia when the game was in their hands. He scored just three runs in the first innings and nine runs in the second. The senior players failed to set the base for the team, leading to Australia's victory.
"It is pretty disappointing. It's not that we went in with the intent of giving up the fight. We wanted to fight till the end and unfortunately, we couldn't do it. It'll be tough to assess just the last two sessions. If you look at the overall Test match, we had our chances, but we didn't take them," said Rohit Sharma at the post-match presentation.
