New Zealand’s loss in Wellington to England by 323 runs meant that they are now out of races for WTC finals. Sri Lanka still has an outside chance to make it to the WTC Finals. They will have to win the 2nd Test being played in Gqeberha and also beat Australia at home and hope other results go their way.

South Africa still have two Test matches left to play as they are set to host Pakistan at home. The next Test match between Australia and India will be held in Brisbane starting on 14th December. The final two games will be held in Melbourne and Sydney, which end India’s round of matches during the current WTC cycle.

Rohit Sharma asks pacers to share load with Jasprit Bumrah

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma faced the media after the ten-wicket loss to Australia on Sunday. One of the questions asked was about Jasprit Bumrah’s workload during such a long tour. The 31-year-old faced a minor injury scare during the end of the second day’s play, which caused many fans to panic.

The 37-year-old Indian skipper said, as quoted by CRICBUZZ, that he keeps speaking to his ace bowler. Rohit Sharma said, “No, see, as and when he has a spell, I talk to him. I ask him how his body is feeling. Is he fresh or not?. "

Rohit Sharma also said to the media, “Because it's a five-match series, as you said. And in a five-match series, we want Bumrah to play all the matches and remain fresh. So, it becomes important to analyse all this when you are playing a Test match in which the bowler is bowling... How much workload is there? How much is not there? It becomes important to manage all this.”
