In the ongoing Champions One-day Cup 2024, Pakistan's wicket-keeper batter Sarfaraz Khan was caught trolling Babar Azam behind the stumps. With Babar batting on 69 runs off 81 balls at the non-striker's end, Sarfaraz screamed at the bowler, "Isko 40 overs tak khelnay do, isko out nahi karna" (Let him play 40 overs, don't get him out).
The trolling didn't seem to faze Babar as he scored a wonderful half-century, hitting five boundaries and one six. Earlier, openers Shan Masood (34) and Yasir Khan (46) provided a rapid start to the Stallions, scoring 76 runs in 12 overs. As of now, the Stallions have scored 226 runs at the loss of five wickets, with Babar and Jahandad Khan attempting to stage a solid comeback.

Even Saifi bhai knows Babar Azam is a selfish player & whenever he scores runs , his team often lost the game.#ChampionsCup

Stallions have opened their account with a win in two games, while the Dolphins are yet to win a single game. The matches will become even more interesting as the tournament continues. Moreover, the PCB has organized this tournament to provide proper match practice for all the players to improve their game and keep them involved.
Babar Azam's captaincy is at stake once again
Pakistan's white-ball skipper, Babar Azam, faced a lot of criticism for Pakistan's early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. He was re-appointed as the skipper for the tournament, where he failed to perform along with the entire team. Hence, Babar has received a lot of backlash from the former players and the critics who made an analysis of his batting performance.
Even though he's the captain of the Pakistan team, he wasn't given the captaincy in the Champions One-day Cup 2024, which spoke about the management's mindset regarding the player. Hence, Babar must perform in the tournament to prove his worth and maintain his captaincy.
