Sreesanth picks Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh in his all-time ‘Calmest XI’

Former India pacer S. Sreesanth has picked his all-time ‘Calmest XI’, which featured some of the most renowned cricketers from around the world. Known for his aggressive nature, Sreesanth gained attention by including former and active players who have followed/following a similar brand of cricket.

The fiery pacer named Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir as openers in his team. Although Kohli and Gambhir currently work together in the Indian team as a player and head coach respectively, both have a past that has rocked the cricketing world.

Another couple of names that amused fans were Shakib Al Hasan and Harbhajan Singh. While mentioning Shakib's name, Sreesanth did not forget to highlight the Bangladesh all-rounder's altercations with umpires. Meanwhile, Harbhajan's selection was a bit personal for the Kerala cricketer.

The former Indian spinner was embroiled in a huge controversy after he slapped Sreesanth during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match in 2008. However, years later, the two buried the hatchet and now share a good relationship with each other.

Saurav Ganguly to lead Sreesanth's ‘Calmest XI’

Sreesanth has named former India captain Sourav Ganguly as his team's captain and legendary Australia captain Ricky Ponting as his deputy. He did not miss other notable names like Shahid Afridi, Kieron Pollard and Shoaib Akhtar. Interestingly, Sreesanth picked himself as the last man.

"With Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli will open. Ricky Ponting at No.3 with Sourav Ganguly at two down. Ganguly will be the captain while Ponting is the vice-captain. Shahid Afridi. How can I forget Shakib Al Hasan, he does not even leave the umpires. Then Kieron Pollard, Harbhajan Singh, Shoaib Akhtar and Andre Nel. At No. 11, the one and only Sreesanth. How can I leave myself out from any playing XI," he said.
