During the course of the same interview, Pat Cummins also said how he had hoped that Virat Kohli wont score a century which triggered the fans. “I remember I said something a few years ago and it was actually a compliment. I said that he is a gun player and hoped he would not score 100 and then six month later when he scored a 100 my social media blew up”

The Australian star was also complimentary about India after his recent experiences in then IPL. Hyderabad welcomed him with open arms and the whole even greeted Cummins on his birthday during the tournament.

“India is like a 2nd home, we spend so much time here, IPL you’ve got your home teams, so you actually feel like you’ve got plenty of fans. At least cricket fans that have, you know, supported you or lots of people come up to me and say Oh I’m from Kolkata and I go for KKR. It’s a nice feeling not everyone is against you”

Virat Kohli is getting ready to play for India in the T20 World Cup. The former Indian skipper didn’t play the only warm-up match against Bangladesh over the weekend. Team India will start their campaign on the 5th of June when they take on Ireland in their first match.
