Star South Africa wicketkeeper-batter and opener, Ryan Rickelton has attracted the eyeballs for his amazing century against Pakistan in the ongoing Cape Town Test. Rickelton and Aiden Markram came to open the innings for the Proteas and stitched a steady partnership of 61 runs for the first wicket. Then they lost the next two wickets at quick intervals and got the score of 72 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 22.5 overs.

Then came Ryan Rickelton’s amazing efforts with the bat as he started troubling the Pakistan bowlers. Finally, a moment of joy arrived for Ryan Rickelton and South Africa as the Southpaw completed his century on the third ball of the 46th over of the first innings.

The Proteas batter got an easy delivery on his pads bowled by Salman Agha, which the former comfortably played a four to complete his second Test century. It also brought up a loud cheer in the hosts’ dressing room, where his teammates applauded his amazing achievement.

Speaking of the action of the match, the hosts are dominating the last session on day 1 of the ongoing second and last Test of the two-match series. The man of the day, Ryan Rickelton and skipper Temba Bavuma are there in the middle for the Proteas; the duo has stitched an unbeaten partnership of 150 runs for the fourth wicket so far.

Rickelton has scored 125 runs off 171 balls, with 15 fours, alongside skipper Bavuma’s 70 runs off 119 balls, with 7 fours and a six.

Notably, Temba Bavuma’s men are already leading the two-match Test series by 1-0 after a narrow 2-wicket win in the first Test in Centurion. They have also become the first team to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship 20023-25 cycle.
