Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma and BCCI secretary Jay Shah visited the famous Siddhivinayak Temple late on Wednesday. The duo were in Mumbai for the CEAT Awards were both Rohit Sharma and Jay Shah had won awards. The two were spotted along with the T20 World Cup title. 

There were special prayers conducted as the both Rohit and Jay Shah could be seen posing for pictures. Rohit Sharma was awarded with the CEAT Cricketer of the year while Jay Shah was named as the best cricket administrator of the year. 

Rohit Sharma is currently on a short break as the Indian cricket team gets ready for the Test series ahead. The 37-year-old along with Virat Kohli have been given extended break as they weren’t picked for the Duleep Trophy tournament due to workload management. 

Rohit Sharma wants to win more ICC titles

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma made a telling statement during the CEAT Cricket Awards on Wednesday. The right-handed batter said “It was my dream to transform this team and not worry too much about the stats, the results, to make sure that we create that environment where people can go out there and play freely without thinking too much,” 

“That is what was required. I got a lot of help from my three pillars, who are actually Mr Jay Shah, Mr Rahul Dravid (and the) chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar. That was very critical for me to do what I did and obviously not to forget the players, who came in at different points in time and helped the team to achieve what we achieved." Further added Rohit Sharma

What Rohit Sharma said next has raised more hopes from the Indian fans as they will now aim to win the ICC Champions Trophy title. “There is a reason I won five IPL trophies. I'm not going to stop, because once you get the taste of winning games, winning Cups, you don't want to stop and we'll keep pushing as a team. We'll keep striving for better things in the future,”
