The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are reportedly set to offer two personal chefs to Team India for the upcoming tours. After the Board barred the players from carrying their personal assistants and chefs with them on several tours, they made a few guidelines for the team to follow for the upcoming games. To take care of the nutritional requirements of the players, they will arrange for two chefs to travel with the team to various venues and provide food for them.

"The team has been given an option where the board will arrange two chefs for the players' needs. However, there will be discussions around the specific needs of the players and what more can be done. Certain players have to be extra careful with their diet, especially if they have overcome serious injuries which requires watching their weight and other vitals. These chefs are very particular about the quality of ingredients used in cooking the meals. BCCI is trying to work around it to ensure premium food quality for its players," a BCCI source told TOI.

As per reports, a few members of the management pointed out how two chefs would manage the load of the entire team. The issue is that players have been carrying their personal chefs for a long time to maintain their diet or eat home-cooked food whenever they want to. This is why the board is paying attention to the chefs.

BCCI bars wives and families from traveling with players

As per the new guidelines of BCCI, the wives and family members of the players will not be travelling with them to various tours from now on. It will be the players and the team management. The Board made it clear that any player who breaks these rules will be banned from the IPL.

Now, the wives and family members can stay for just two weeks if the tour is 45 days or more. Also, they can stay for a week for shorter tours. They have also mentioned that the travel expenses will be handled by the players only, and no BCCI will help them.
