Meanwhile, the Indian team are going through a lot of concerns and conundrums ahead of a big task in the upcoming prestigious cricket quadrennial. The 2013 champions are facing injury scares ahead of the start of the tournament as the star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is not fully fit to be a part of India’s playing XI for the Champions Trophy 2025.

In the same line of events, former India head coach and currently the commentator, Ravi Shastri came up with a bold prediction while speaking about India’s chances of winning the Champions Trophy title.

“I think it's high risk” – Ravi Shastri on India’s injury concerns

Shastri also spoke about the importance of Jasprit Bumrah and the impact he brings to the table, especially in the death overs, with his wicket-taking abilities.

“I think it's high risk. There's too much big cricket coming up for India. At this stage of his career, I think he's too precious to be just called on for one game out of the blue and asked to deliver. The expectations will be so high. They'll think that he'll come in straight away and set the world on fire. It's never that easy when you come back from injury,” said Shastri on ICC Review while speaking on the ‘Jasprit Bumrah’ factor for Team India.

“Bumrah not fit will reduce India's chances of winning the Champions Trophy by 30%, literally by 30-35%. With a fully fit Bumrah playing, you are guaranteed those death overs. It would've been a different ball game altogether,” he added later.

India will be eyeing ending their wait of clinching the Champions Trophy title after 12 years since they won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
