Veteran Indian star Ravichandran Ashwin recently spoke about Rohit Sharma’s future with former IPL winners Mumbai Indians. It was under Rohit Sharma that the men in blue and gold became a force to be reckoned with and won five IPL titles.

Ravichandran Ashwin while speaking on his YouTube channel said “Even if you think like Rohit, it's not wrong at all. I don't want any headache. I have been a captain for India. I have captained Mumbai many times. Even if I am not a captain, I am going to Mumbai happily. If I play for Mumbai, it's super. I am sure most players are like that. After a stage, money doesn't matter for some of those players. That's the thing,"

Mumbai Indians finished 10th in the table after suffering a horrendous IPL 2024 season. The on field form of few players weren’t up to the mark while the captaincy controversy had rocked the team off the field.

Harbhajan Singh names two teams Rohit Sharma could potentially play for

Former Indian star Harbhajan Singh played ten seasons for Mumbai Indians and won three titles with the team. The veteran star played under Rohit Sharma in the initial years of his captaincy.

During his chat with Times Now, Harbhajan Singh said “Yes, IPL Auction this year is going to be buzzing. It will be interesting to see some of the big names and what they do. Will Rohit go to Delhi? or will Mumbai retain him? Everyone will be watching the big names”

Rohit Sharma and his side are getting ready to face Bangladesh at home in a two match Test series. Bangladesh have just beaten Pakistan for the first time in Test cricket and this has made Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh warn the Indian test team.

Suresh Raina while speaking to IANS said “Now, a team for Tests will be formed. Top players playing Duleep Trophy is a nice initiative by the BCCI. You get to know a lot of things when you play red-ball cricket. You cannot take Bangladesh lightly as they have a fine spin bowling attack and some good players who have done well for a long time. This series will be a fine match practice for the tour to Australia,"

“It will be a great series. Indian cricket team has been very capable and has potential. However, we can't strike through Bangladesh as well, they have beaten Pakistan in the first Test match against Pakistan. Sometimes, smaller teams perform well in matches," said Harbhajan Singh.
