The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match on May 18 is a must-win match for both the franchises to be in the race for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs. However, this game might get interrupted due to rain since the Bengaluru weather has changed completely.

After three months of constant heat, the rain Gods finally showed some mercy on the city and finally decided to rain and provide peace to the people. Nevertheless, this isn't a piece of good news for the RCB fans as no match means no qualification. The men in red won't be able to qualify for the playoffs if the match gets washed out due to rain. Then RCB will be stuck at 13 points and CSK will reach 15 points.

RCB's performance in this year's IPL 2024 was no less than a rollercoaster ride. In the first half of the tournament, they had won only 1 game, however, they turned the table in the 2nd half after winning five back-to-back matches with great margins. With the wins, they also took care of the net run rate which is another achievement for the Faf du Plessis-led team.

'We put some good performances and really pleased' - Skipper Faf du Plessis elated on win against DC

After winning the match by 47 runs against the Delhi Capitals (DC), skipper Faf du Plessis seemed elated and relieved at the same time. The entire team's performance and the celebrations showed the importance of this tournament for them and hence, the upcoming matches will be even more important. Hence, the team will definitely look to give their best in their last match against CSK if it doesn't get cancelled due to rain.

"We put some good performances and really pleased. 1st half of the season, things didn't quite come together and from that batting perspective and bowling perspective we have been able to put it together now," said Faf at the post-match presentation.
