Before Royal Challengers Bengaluru play against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, RCB star batter Virat Kohli talked honestly about his bond with Rohit Sharma. Kohli confirmed their excellent working connection and mutual respect, despite previous media rumours of a rift between them. Kohli shares his connection with Rohit Sharma during a discussion on the RCB channel.
"I think it's a very natural thing to take place when you play with someone for so long and you share so much of your insight of the game initially, you learn from each other, you're kind of growing in your careers at probably the same time, and you share all kinds of queries and questions," he said during an interview on RCB channel.
"So there's a lot of back and forth that happens and also the fact that, you know, we worked very closely in terms of the leadership for the team, so there were always ideas discussed and more or less, we would end up on the same page in terms of the gut feel of that situation - there is a trust factor and we do the job for the team," Virat Kohli added.
He went on to say that they had developed trust over the years and frequently found themselves in agreement while making judgements in leadership positions. "Reflecting on our long careers, we are both grateful and proud of the journey we've shared. The consistency and memories we've built together have been incredibly fulfilling," he said.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two pillars of Indian cricket
Two of Indian cricket's most well-known players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, continue to be the team's mainstays, and their recent Champions Trophy victory has highlighted their significance once more. Over the years, Kohli and Rohit have firmly established themselves as formidable players in every format, having begun their international careers nearly simultaneously but one year apart. The remarkable careers of Rohit and Kohli in international cricket began when they made their debuts for India in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
For the past 15 years, Kohli and Rohit have been integral to Indian cricket's success. Both have continuously disputed the rumours of strife and have remained professional both on and off the field. When the Mumbai Indians visit RCB at Wankhede Stadium, they want to record their second win of IPL 2025. MI, under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, has only won one of their first four games, but RCB has won two of their last three.
