2035

New drama has erupted as far as Champions Trophy 2025 is concerned. Boria Majumdar who is a noted Indian journalist with Revsportz shared a video. Pakistan journalist Shahid Hashmi was heard saying that Pakistan Cricket Board could consider pulling out of the tournament.

Shahid Hashmi was heard saying “There’s some huge development in the ICC Champions Trophy stand off between Pakistan and India. Today, Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed to media that ICC has confirmed of BCCI’s decision that their team is not being allowed to travel to Pakistan by Indian government. So PCB is likely to take strong stance on that and sources say that PCB is considering going to ICC dispute resolution committee”

The Pakistani scribe also added “They had gone to the same committee in 2018 and this time PCB and Pakistan’s foreign office feel they have a strong case. Because when Pakistan was awarded Champions Trophy (hosting rights) in 2020/21 there was no condition that it will be subject to India’s traveling to Pakistan for the tournament”. Boria Majumdar later also revealed that PCB could pull out of the tournament as well.

Rashid Latif slams ICC over Champions Trophy tussle

Former Pakistan player Rashid Latif during his chat with Geo News said “CC exists only because there is Pakistan and India. If the government of Pakistan also says like India that we won't play, then the ICC will be of no use as no one will watch the match,”

The former star also added “We can say that India does not want to play bilateral matches, but you can't deny the ICC events as you already have signed it. India has to make solid ground. If India doesn't come this time, Pakistan will take a big step by not participating in the tournament”

“If it is a bilateral series or Asia Cup, then the teams are asked, whether India wants to play or not. This is an ICC event. The cycle has been signed from 2024-2031. All the broadcasters and sponsors have signed about the teams that will participate in the Champions Trophy or the World Cup” Rashid Latif ended by saying.
