The unfortunate incident occurred during the Super Eight phase. Pathan expressed his grief over the death of his ‘younger brother’, saying the pain of losing him is indescribable. Along with the heartfelt caption, Pathan posted a few pictures and videos of Ansari on X and Instagram.

“In the past six years, Faiyaz became family to us. My children would run to greet him whenever he came over. He loved me like an elder brother, and I loved him like a younger one. The pain of losing him is indescribable; I’ve never experienced anything like it. His ever-smiling face and his constant ‘ji bhai’ will stay with me forever. I miss you dearly my brother my shadow, Faiyaz,” Pathan wrote.

Hailing from a small town in Nagina, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, Ansari relocated to Mumbai where he worked as a make-up artist for many years. He set up his salon in the metropolitan city before joining his regular client Irfan Pathan as his personal make-up artist.

Notably, it’s not been more than two months since Ansari got married. The tragic incident has left his wife, family and relatives inconsolable. According to reports, Pathan is bearing the expenses of bringing Fayaz's body from West Indies to India.
