Neeraj Kumar, Former BCCI anti-corruption unit chief, was the top cop of Delhi and worked with the BCCI between 2015 and 2018. Moreover, as a part of his job, his interaction with the cricketers was frequent, and he got to know the players quite well. From his experience with the players, he concluded that Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ajinkya Rahane were two gentlemen of the Indian Cricket Team.

"Oh, there were lots of them. One should be proud of them. They all gave me a lot of respect. But two people who are not spoken much about are Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ajinkya Rahane, outstanding people, and thorough gentlemen. In cricket, Virat Kohli's work ethic is matchless. The way he goes about his training was exemplary," Kumar was quoted as saying to PTI.

Apart from the two, he also praised Virat Kohli for his fitness and effortless training which he goes through during matches. He also mentioned the fact that most of the players use foul language while talking, however, they have immense respect for each other. Neeraj is one of the best cops who was involved during the arrest of former India cricketer S Sreesanth and fellow Rajasthan Royals cricketers Ajit Chandila, Ankit Chavan (2016-17) and Hansie Cronje in 2002.

India's T20 World Cup 2024 Journey starts on June 5

Soon after the Indian Premier League (IPL), the T20 World Cup 2024 will start on June 2. This time, some new teams will be participating in the tournament which gives the players a lot of exposure. While the first match is between the USA and Canada, India will play its first match on June 5 against Ireland.

This time, India is placed in group A along with Ireland, Canada, Pakistan, and the USA. For most of it, winning in the league stages might be an easy job for the team, however, the real tension will begin from the knock-offs. Moreover, BCCI hasn't released the squad yet, so until then, players have a chance to prove themselves in the IPL to get a chance in the World Cup squad.
