Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has made a great start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Rajat Patidar and his side are third in the table with eight points so far and have won four away games in a row. RCB, along with Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, are yet to win the league. The last time RCB came close to winning was in 2016, when they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the finals in front of his home crowd.

Ben Cutting played a key role with the bat, scoring 39 not out from 15 balls with three boundaries and four sixes. Cutting then struck with the ball, taking the wickets of Chris Gayle for 76 runs and KL Rahul for 11. The Aussie seamer bowled four overs and picked two wickets for 35 runs. RCB lost the game by eight runs as SRH won the title under David Warner’s captaincy.

Since then, many fans have used Cutting’s innings to troll RCB for not winning the title. Social media edits have been used to replay the innings to poke fun at Bengaluru fans. The former Australian cricketer took notice of one such fan edit and wrote, “Keep getting tagged in these edits; one of the great career highlights, thank you.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar reveals his favorite movie

Veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the current season of the IPL. The 35-year-old was part of the SRH side that beat RCB in the IPL 2016 final to lift the title. Kumar has made a slow start to life at RCB but is slowly finding his groove. The veteran pacer was speaking to noted podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia, where he mentioned his favourite movie was Iqbal.

The Shreyas Talpade starrer is about a youngster overcoming physical disabilities and becoming a cricketer. Speaking on the show, Kumar said, “Iqbal any day is my favourite cricket movie. The reason is that the cricket angle is not a lot but they have shown the struggle. You can relate to that struggle shown. You struggle everyday. You go to the ground and even if you do not think of it at that age, there is a pressure because you are not studying, and you have very less chance of a job as you do not have a degree.”

In the same podcast, Bhuvneshwar Kumar also spoke about the important aspect of mental health in cricket and said, “An international cricketer or sportsperson relates mental health to performance. Because every series is different. If you do well, you are in a good space. But the good thing is the coaching staff looks at you with the same point of view that he is a good bowler but he is not doing well; that's okay. But your inner state makes you feel good or bad. If you did not do well or are going through a bad patch, you start putting pressure on yourself. Everyone supports you but the inner state matters.
