The third and final Test between England and Pakistan is on the razor's edge in Rawalpindi. The visitors were bowled out for 267 in their first innings after Ben Stokes opted to bat first after winning the toss. Wicketkeeper and batter Mohammad Rizwan took a brutal jibe at England on the first day of the game.

Noman Ali was bowling to Harry Brook with the batter going for a cut but didn’t time the ball well. As the batter was getting ready to face the next ball, Rizwan could be heard quipping ‘No More Baz-Ball’ as England had scored just 81 runs in the 28th over. The slow run scoring was a far cry from the 823 the visitors had scored in the 1st game.

England were bowled out for 267 in their first innings as Jamie Smith top-scored with 89. Shan Masood employed his spinners for the entire duration of his innings as Sajid Khan picked 6/128 from his 29.2 overs. Noman Ali picked 3/88 while Zahid Mahmood picked 1/44 from his 10 overs.

Ollie Pope and Joe Root were out LBW to Sajid Khan while Harry Brook was bowled by the off-spinner. Ben Duckett scored a valiant 52 before he was caught right in front of the crease by Noman Ali.

Post lunch, Ben Stokes was out for 12 to leave his side at 118/6. From this stage, Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson added 107 runs for the 7th wicket in 27.3 overs. Ali got the wicket of Atkinson for 39 before Jamie Smith fell to Sajid Khan for 89. The wicketkeeper got his runs off 119 balls with five fours and 6 sixes.

Sajid Khan then removed Rehan Ahmed for 9 and Jack Leach for 16 to end the innings. With the ball keeping low and turning the England spinners were set to be in play during the Pakistani first innings. Shoaib Bashir dismissed Abdullah Shafique for 14 while Saim Ayub fell for 19 to Jack Leach. Kamran Ghulam who had scored a ton in the last game was bowled by Atkinson for 3. At stumps, the home team were 73/3 with Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel batting on 16 runs apiece.
