The New Zealand team made their 15-member squad announcement on Monday for the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. The Kiwis are looking quite strong with the inclusion of experienced players like Tim Southee, Kane Williamson, and Trent Boult. Moreover, the Black Caps have given the team's responsibility to Kane Williamson, who will be captaining the side for the fourth time.

The Kiwis are still searching for a World Cup trophy and looking at their team, it seems like this year can be their year. Moreover, surprisingly, they have included Devon Conway, who was ruled out of the IPL 2024 due to injury, on the side. Hence, if the world-class opener gets to play matches for the national side, then the team will benefit from this. Apart from him, Matt Henry and Rachin Ravindra are also included in the team and are ready to play their debut World Cup.

The New Zealand squad includes Kane Williamson, Finn Allen, Trent Boult, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Jimmy Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee. As the team seems strong, we can expect to see a lot of fireworks from players like Daryl Mitchell and Jimmy Neesham.

'He has made every post a winner in the past 12 months...' - NZ Coach on young batter Rachin Ravindra

The young batter Rachin Ravindra has impressed the world with his performance and has been included in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad. Even though his performance wasn't good in the IPL 2024, his selection in the World Cup squad shows the coach's confidence in him.

"Rachin has made every post a winner in the past 12 months and it was exciting to see him continue that trajectory over the summer in the T20 format against Australia," said Black Caps coach Gary Stead in a news release.
