Romario Shepherd became an instant hero for the young fans at the Wankhede Stadium today, courtesy of his exploits in the final over of Mumbai Indians' innings. He took the bowling of the vastly experienced and reliable Anrich Nortje to the cleaners, smashing a jaw-dropping 32 runs off the final over.

The roar of the crowd intensified with each booming shot. Shepherd's electrifying masterclass unfolded like this- 4, 6, 6, 6, 4, 6. His clean hitting had everyone on their feet, including the Mumbai Indians dugout. Captain Hardik Pandya's awe was evident, and even the legendary Sachin Tendulkar rose from his seat to applaud the young gun.
