Nitish Kumar Reddy, India's all-rounder, rose to the occasion and scored a terrific half-century against Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I game in Delhi. Reddy turned the game in India's favour as he built a 100-run partnership with Rinku Singh. While Reddy scored 74 runs in 34 balls, including four boundaries and seven sixes, Rinku scored 53 runs off 29 balls, including five boundaries and three sixes.

With the help of the batters, India's total score went to 221 runs. Even Hardik Pandya contributed to the score by hitting 32 runs in 19 balls. Apart from this, Reddy even took two wickets and went on to win the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. After his performance, people went on to praise him, but Bangladesh's former batter, Tamim Iqbal, had different views about the player. He urged the fans not to judge his batting based on two matches.

Tamim said, while talking to Sports18, "Nitish Kumar Reddy played good strokes, and his sixes changed the momentum of the game. He took two wickets as well. However, it is still early for him, and it is not right to say anything fancy about him after two matches. Let him play against a better opposition and a quality bowling side. Only then should we judge him as a player."

I should give credit to captain and coach: Nitish Reddy

For an all-round performance against Bangladesh, Nitish Kumar Reddy went on to receive the Player of the Match award for his 73 runs and two wickets. At the post-match presentation, he spoke about the support he received from the captain, Suryakumar Yadav, and head coach, Gautam Gambhir. Reddy's performance as a batter and a bowler was excellent in the T20 games, and if he remains consistent, he'll get good opportunities in the future.

"Feels great to represent India, feel so proud about this moment. Grateful for everything. I should give credit to the captain and coach. They gave me the licence to play fearless cricket," said Nitish Reddy.
