According to a leaked team sheet KL Rahul is set to open the innings against PMXI with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The team sheet has penciled in Rohit’s name in the number 5 spot in the batting position. This could be a fair indication that India’s skipper could bat in the middle order during the game in Adelaide.

KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal had added 201 runs for the first wicket during the opening game in Perth. There were massive debates about Rohit’s batting spot in the team and the latest move could mean that the batting order has already been decided.

Dinesh Karthik names his skipper for Pink Ball Test

Former Indian star Dinesh Karthik was taking questions from fans on CRICBUZZ. The 39-year-old was asked who should lead the side during the second game in Adelaide. Karthik replied “Bumrah did a fabulous job, but Rohit is the designated captain, and he is back, and he should lead this Test team. Simple as that”

Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh has backed India to make it to the finals of the World Test Championships. The 44-year-old while speaking to PTI said “If they win another game, I think India will definitely go into the WTC (final) but it's not important to reach there, it's important to win we will reach there”

The former Indian star also praised Jasprit Bumrah and said “Bumrah is an amazing player, and of course, he has got a great mindset. I have been a huge supporter of Bumrah from Day One and he has got that very calm kind of personality."

“He knows his game and he is one of those guys who is a very likable person in the dressing room. He commands a lot of respect in the dressing room so when such a person leads you from the front, the team obviously follows” Harbhajan Singh went onto say.
