Kuldeep, Arshdeep, and Easwaran end England tour without playing a single match

• India made four changes to their XI in the fifth Test of the series against England at The Oval
• Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurel, Prasidh Krishna, and Karun Nair returned to the side
• The trio of Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Abhimanyu Easwaran did not get a chance to play a match in the tour

India made four changes for the Oval Test against England, as the likes of Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurel, Prasidh Krishna, and Karun Nair came in for Anshul Kamboj, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shardul Thakur. It meant that the campaign of Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Abhimanyu Easwaran ended without playing a match in the tour.

Several reports suggested that Kuldeep and Arshdeep could feature in the team at least twice in the series. While the former was expected to play one or both of the last two Tests of the series, the latter was reported to play at the Lord's and the Oval Test. However, none of it turned out to be a reality.

Compared to them, Easwaran never seemed to be in contention to get a spot in the team, as his name was never considered in any of the reports. Among the bowlers, only Mohammed Siraj remained the only individual to have played all matches of the series for India, while Chris Woakes played for England in all matches of the series.
