'Kudos to captain KL Rahul and Co' - Fans react as LSG beat GT in the 21st match of IPL 2024 in Lucknow

LSG registered the third consecutive win in the fourth match of their campaign in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024; they are now in the third spot of the points table.

LSG completely outmuscled Gujarat Titans in the 21st match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024. The hosts’ skipper KL Rahul won the toss and asked his batters to take charge first; batting first, LSG posted a total of 163 runs for the loss of 163 wickets for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis scored 58 runs off 43 balls, with 4 fours and 2 sixes, alongside 33 and 32 runs scored by skipper KL Rahul and vice-captain Nicholas Pooran, respectively. Later around the end of the innings, Ayush Badoni also scored 20 runs off just 11 balls, with 3 fours.

Umesh Yadav and Darshan Nalkade scalped 2 wickets each for Gujarat Titans in the first innings, alongside one wicket each bagged by Rashid Khan in the first innings.

Yash Thakur runs through GT’s batting attack

While chasing the target, Gujarat Titans failed to crack the ‘GT bowling code’ in the second innings; Sai Sudharsan and Rahul Tewatia played the knocks of 31 and 30 runs off 23 and 25 balls, respectively. LSG’s young pacer Yash Thakur claimed an amazing five-wicket haul, scalping 5 wickets at the cost of just 30 runs in 3.5 overs, including one maiden over on his credit.

Besides Yash Thakur, Krunal Pandya also claimed 3 wickets, alongside one wicket each picked by Naveen-ul-Haq and Ravi Bishnoi. On the back of these amazing bowling performances, the hosts bundled out the Gujarat Titans at the score of 130 runs in 18.5 overs and won the match by 33 runs.

It is also the third consecutive win for Lucknow Super Giants in the fourth match of their campaign in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024. Now, they have also moved to the third spot of the points table of the tournament, just behind KKR and RR, who are on the second and first spots of the table.
