Australian star pacer Josh Hazlewood is back with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the remaining games of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL). Earlier this month IPL was suspended due to tense situation between India and Pakistan. The situation led many foreign players to leave India for safety, and Josh Hazlewood was one of them. On 17th May, IPL was resumed, but Josh Hazlewood did not return to India for the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Hazlewood missed a few games for RCB, and without him in the team, RCB was struggling against SRH. Ahead of the clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and playoffs-bound RCB, Hazlewood will be back in the team to make an impact. Before the last league game, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted the a viral video on their social media accounts. “Josh Hazlewood is back! How excited are we, 12th Man Army?" The rejoining of Australian pacer boosted the confidence in the team and fans as the team will eye on winning the first IPL title in 17 years.

It's great to be back - Josh Hazlewood on his return to IPL
"Yeah, obviously, it's great to be back. Made the most of the last week in Brisbane and bowled quite a few overs. Everything is feeling very good. Hopefully, it will get the ball rolling. Looking forward to practice," Josh Hazlewood said on his return to RCB.
For RCB, the return of Jos Hazlewood is like a ray of hope as he was the difference-making bowler for the team in this ongoing IPL. In 10 matches, Halewood picked 18 wickets and is the leading wicket-taking bowler for RCB. He stands fourth in the Purple cap race. Before getting IPL getting suspended, he suffered a shoulder injury. According to reports, he went to Brisbane for rehabilitation during the break and won’t be returning to India for IPL 2025 as he will be preparing for the World Test Championship (WTC) finals against South Africa.
