South Africa's left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj has created history on the fourth day of the 1st Test match against West Indies. He bowled for 40 overs in the second innings and picked up four wickets after giving just 76 runs. Moreover, the remarkable thing about his bowling was he bowled all his 40 overs unchanged from one end. In the first innings, South Africa scored 357 runs, skipper Temba Bhavuma scored 86 runs off 182 balls, and Tony de Zorzi scored 78 runs off 145 balls.

Both the batters destroyed the bowling attack and went on to put a good score on the board. All the other batters contributed throughout the innings, which was a positive takeaway for the team. Jomel Warrican was West Indies' leading bowler, claiming four wickets in 22 overs. All the batters tried to do their best for West Indies, but the middle order failed miserably. That's the reason why they could score only 233 runs. In this innings, Maharaj bowled 40 overs without changing his end and claimed a 4-wicket haul.

He was unplayable throughout the innings. Apart from him, Kagiso Rabada also took three wickets, which was quite impressive. South Africa did bat well in the second innings, but West Indies managed to draw the match, which was quite amazing.

Always ready to bowl: Keshav Maharaj

For his best bowling, Keshav Maharaj won the Player of the Match award. While talking in the post-match presentation, Maharaj gave credit to his teammates for an amazing match. They could have won the match but the Caribbean players did their best to avoid another defeat. However, Maharaj's bowling won the hearts of the cricket fans.

"Pride myself in Test cricket. Always ready to bowl. Was happy and just soldiered through Try and read conditions and see how I can get the best assistance. Then I try and keep it simple with my lines and lengths. Full credit to Athanaze, I just stuck to my guns, varied the lengths a bit and got the result," said Keshav Maharaj during the post-match presentation.
