In the ongoing 1st Test match between West Indies and South Africa, Aiden Markram claims his third Test wicket by dismissing West Indies star all-rounder Jason Holder. While Holder was well-settled and playing on 36 runs, that breakthrough was crucial for the Proteas. Hence, Markram came in and dismissed the batter and was seen hurling some words after dismissing the batter.

Interestingly, Markram fell prey to Holder's bowling in the first innings and was dismissed on just nine runs. Hence, Markram took his revenge successfully after taking Holder's wicket.

The Caribbean all-rounder was keeping the one end safe but after his dismissal, the Caribbean batters shattered like a pack of cards. Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj were the star bowlers for the Proteas, as they claimed three and four wickets, respectively.

West Indies' batting has been quite weak as the middle order failed to perform in the first innings. They scored 233 runs, which could have been more if the batters had taken the responsibility. Nevertheless, now it's the task of the bowlers to dismantle the strong batting line-up of the Proteas to get victory in the 1st Test match.

West Indies slips to bottom after loss against England

After a solid series against England, West Indies have now slipped to the bottom of the points table, making their journey in the WTC cycle difficult. In seven games, the Caribbean nation have managed to get only one victory with a 19.05 win percentage. They'll have to revive their current condition by winning the upcoming series against South Africa, which is quite a task.

On the other hand, the hosts are in seventh place, with one win in four games. The situation is similar for both teams, and the upcoming matches are extremely crucial. Hence, both teams must gear up and do their best to qualify for the WTC finals.
