'Jai Hind'- Indian cricketing fraternity backs Indian Army's strike on terror camps in PoK
India finally strikes on terrorism as it launches the ‘Operation Sindoor’ on 7th May, 2025, Wednesday. To this, the cricketing fraternity has come in support of the cause and action taken by the Indian Government.

In the midst of the rising Indo-Pak tensions post the Pahalgam attack which took the lives of 26 innocent civilians, India finally strikes on terrorism as it launches the ‘Operation Sindoor’ on 7th May, 2025, Wednesday. The operation targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian government issued a statement signifying the efforts taken by the Indian Army. The statement read, “Focused strikes were carried out on nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, targeting the roots of cross-border terror planning. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted.”

Cricketing voices echo in patroitism after India's strike on terrorism
To this, the cricketing fraternity were seen to unite as one and come in support of the cause and action taken by the Indian Government on the matter of terrorism. Several Indian cricketers took to their social media handles to show their support. It was seen that Pragyan Ojha and Aakash Chopra, former Indian cricketers, took to their X accounts, saluting the Indian Army. ‘Together we stand, Jai Hind,’ said Aakash Chopra, while Pragyan Ojha wrote, “Jai Hind, Jai Hind ki sena.”
Young Indian star bowler, Varun Chakravarthy also has taken a step forward in support of the Indian Army by sharing the ‘Operation Sindoor’ post on Instagram. Other stars from the cricketing fraternity like Vaibhab Sooryavanshi, Sanjiv Goenka, Virendra Sehwag and Venkatesh Prasad have also expressed their fondness in this act taken up by the Indian Army.

The nine locations in which the attack was targeted were the key locations of the terror groups- Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba. As per reports from the Indian Intelligence, it has been said that nearly 25-30 terrorists were killed in the attack that took place last night. Furthermore, training camps and a mix of launch pads were targeted for the strike. Finally the Indian army ended their statement by saying, “Justice is served.”
